I enjoy sharing my emotional response to Maine's rugged beauty through my soft pastel landscapes and seascapes. Using color toned paper or panels provides a unifying hue throughout a soft pastel painting. For others, I first create an "underpainting" in another medium, often in complementary colors.  Here is a small sampling of available pastel paintings and selected paintings now in private collections.
